1. The CFHD in partnership with HIVOs is implementing the Strengthening Renewable Energy Awareness Project in four Rural District Councils of Manicaland Province (REAP) in Zimbabwe. The objectives of the project are to raise awareness of CBOs, local leaders and citizens on renewable energy options available for use at household and community level; and to strengthen dialogue and learning platforms for increased uptake of renewable energy options in rural areas.


  2. CFHD has, in partnership with the UN-Habitat has recently implemented project titled Enhancing Sustainable Access to Safe Clean Water and Gender Sensitive Sanitation Services in Epworth. The project was being implemented in the 3 of the 7 wards of Epworth. The goal of the project was to enhance sustainable access to safe clean water and gender sensitive sanitation services by residents of the peri-urban area of Epworth, Harare.

    The main objective of the project is to secure and sustain increased access to water and sanitation services in Epworth, in order to reduce poverty and sustain the livelihoods of these poor communities. The project is being implemented in partnership with the community of Epworth, Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and the Epworth Local Board.
